Description

Construction and renovation of earthen dikes including water control structures for restoring wetland in Jasper County, South Carolina. Work includes approximately 1.2 acres of seeding, sprigging and mulching; 1,856 cu yds excavation; 2,225 cu yds of earth fill; and 237 cu yds of topsoiling. It also includes furnishing and installing 3 (three) separate units of 24? flashboard risers and 15? barrel pipes; one at 51 ft, a second at 50 feet and a third at 47 feet. Furnish and install also one (1) 12? plastic hooded inlet at 38 feet with check valve. Performance time is 45 calendar days, including 10 days for mobilization. The estimated price is within the range of $25,000 to $100,000. The solicitation is subject to full and open competition. The NAICS code for this procurement is 237990. The solicitation will be available for viewing and/or downloading from the website, www.fedbizopps.gov, on about October 21, 2004. A site showing will be held at the Orangeburg Field Office, 1550 Henley Street, NE, Room 103, Orangeburg, South Carolina on October 26, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. After a brief meeting concerning the bidding process and contract requirements, the group will leave for a tour of the work site.
