- IF YOU WOULD LIKE A MORE EASILY READABLE COPY OF THIS NOTICE, PLEASE CONTACT KARLA BENSON AT 708-786-5855, karla.benson2@MED.VA.GOV SUBJ: Sources Sought Notice for Disposal Containers, Biohazard and Disposal Containers, Chemotherapy The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is conducting market research to identify small businesses capable of providing Disposal Containers, Biohazard and Disposal Containers, Chemotherapy under VA?s national standardization program. For the purpose of this announcement, the Federal Government defines a small business as an entity having 500 employees or less, including affiliates. Small businesses must have the ability to provide Disposal Containers, Biohazard and Disposal Containers, Chemotherapy to VA facilities in all 50 States and Puerto Rico. Small businesses will be required to make deliveries to VA facilities within 10-15 days from date of receipt of order. Successful contractors may be required to allow the distribution of awarded products through VA Prime Vendors for delivery to VA facilities. The minimum item(s) description requirements and estimated annual quantities are as follows: Disposal Container, Biohazard 1. Single use 2. Puncture resistant 3. Non-removable lid 4. Molded seams 5. Leak proof 6. Rigid Plastic 7. Clear fill Line at either 2/3 mark or a ? mark 8. Single Hand operation 9. Easy to assemble 10. Assorted sizes of containers 11. Which floor models must have horizontal bracket with locking device to prevent removal of container 12. Tamper resistant lock that be must be provided by company for initial installation at no charge to the VA. Disposal Container, Chemotherapy 1.
