Pete King Creek Trail No. 105 Construction/Reconstruction on the Lochsa Ranger District, Clearwater National Forest, Idaho County. Work involves 1.8 miles of new construction and 0.7 miles of reconstruction. Included is removal of several sections of rock outcrop by hand or with explosives (totalling about 200 lineal feet) and construction of several rock retaining walls (totalling about 75 lineal feet). Also includes construction of waterbars, one turnpike, and one log stringer bridge. This project may be advertised in 2005. To reach this project from Lewiston, Idaho follow Hwy. 12, East, up the Clearwater River to the mouth of Pete King Creek at milepost 99. Follow road #453 three miles up Pete King Creek, to near the end of the road. The road forks at a guard-rail barrier near the end of the road. The project begins at the guard-rail barrier on the left fork. Estimated price range: $25,000 - $100,000. Est. start work May 1, 2005. ALL INTERESTED QUOTERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO VIEW THE SITE THIS FALL, AS THIS PROJECT MAY BE ADVERTISED PRIOR TO SNOW MELT IN THE SPRING OF 2005.
