Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Office of Acquisition and Material Management, Acquisition Operations Service, Austin, TX intends to negotiate a contract on a sole source basis with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC) for 75 perpetual license and maintenance for their proprietary software product: TeamMate. The statutory authority for this sole source procurement is FAR 6.302-1. The acquisition is considered commercial under FAR Part 12 and the test program under FAR Subpart 13.5. The anticipated period of performance is FY 2005 (10/1/04 through 9/30/05) with three optional maintenance years (FY06 through FY09). THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. Interested parties will only be considered if their response includes clear and convincing evidence that their software has the identical capabilities of the PWC, TeamMate Software. Interested parties must respond in writing by noon (Central) on 10/15/04. No additional synopsis will be published. The determination to open this requirement for competition based on responses received is solely within the discretion of the Government.
