- NOTICE OF INTENT TO PROCURE A BUNDLED CONTRACT: The VA National Acquisition Center will issue Request for Proposal (RFP) 797-NC-05-0002 for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) for Levobunolol HCL and Timolol Gel and Solution. Levobunolol HCl 0.25% Solution has an estimated annual usage of 1,320 bottles of 5ml and 1,045 bottles of 10ml. Levobunolol HCl 0.5% has an estimated annual usage of 20,212 bottles of 5ml, 17,570 bottles of 10ml and 6,367 bottles of 15ml. Timolol Maleate 0.25% Solution has an estimated annual usage of 17,219 bottles of 5ml, 5,130 bottles of 10ml and 1,068 bottles of 15ml. Timolol Maleate 0.5% Solution has an estimated annual usage of 68,104 bottles of 5ml, 66,435 bottles of 10ml and 29,395 bottles of 15ml. Timolol Maleate 0.25% Gel has an estimated annual usage of 7,156 bottles of 5ml, 2,980 bottles of 2.5ml and 81,400 bottles of 5ml. The estimated annual usage is for VA only. The contract period will be for one year plus four one-year option periods. The contract items will be distributed through the VA Pharmaceutical Prime Vendor (PPV). Tablets must be compatible with automatic dispensing units (Baxter ATC Canisters, Optifil, etc.) and if the offeror is not a manufacturer, a signed agreement between the offeror and the manufacturer must be submitted with the offer and remain in effect for the duration of the contract period including the option years. OFFERS ARE NOT BEING SOLICITED AT THIS TIME. The solicitation will be available for downloading, on or about the issue date of November 16, 2004 from the VA Office of Acquisition and Material Management?s (O&AMM) internet web site @ http://www.va.gov/oamm/busopp/sols.htm.
