- A MARKET SURVEY is being conducted to determine if there are adequate Section 8(a) and/or HUBZone contractors for this proposed contract for either a Section 8(a) or HUBZone Business Competitive Set-Aside award. The proposed contract will be to Desi gn/Build a new 7600 square foot one-story courtroom building at Fort Campbell, KY. The facility will include concrete slab-on-grade, steel structure, non-load-bearing steel stud/brick veneer exterior walls, shingle roofing, suspended tile and gypsum board partitions, insulating glass units w/laminated glass, casework, interior and exterior lighting, HVAC and plumbing systems, communications, electrical work, automatic sprinklers, fire protection, site work, bituminous paving, and utilities. Project will i nclude space for courts-martial in a formal courtroom, deliberation room, witness waiting rooms, judge's chambers, counsel office, media room and restrooms, some with showers. The building shall be fully wired to accommodate standard office systems. Building connections to all base utilities is in the general site vicinity. Landscaping, vehicle parking and exterior lighting shall also be provided. This project is planned for advertisement in December 2004 with award scheduled in March 2005. Contract duration is estimated at 365 calendar days. NAICS Code is 236220. the size standard is $28.5 million. the estimated cost range is between $1,000,000.00 to $5,000,000.00. (20% of the work is to be self-performed.) All interested Section 8(a) and/or HUBZone contractors should notify this office in writing by mail or fax by 20 October 2004, 4:30 PM Louisville Local time. Responses should include: (1) Identification of conpany as a Section 8(a) or HUBZone contractor, (2) Past Experience - Describe completed projects that are similar in size and scope to the proposed project, the percentage of self-performed work and how that was accomplished, (3) Capability of obtaining performanc e and payment bonds for a project in the dollar range listed above, and (4) a statement verifying the contractor will self-perform 20% of the work and how it will be accomplished. NOTE: If qualified Section 8(a) or HUBZone firms do not respond this plann ed contract action will be converted to a full and open competition.
