Description

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (Service) received comments from both interested companies and the Government's Most Efficient Organization (MEO) team on the draft solicitation issued June 29, 2004. Amendment no. 4, issued today, contains the questions/comments received and the Service's response. After analyzing the comments and the workload data, the Service is modifying the solicitation and plans to release the final solicitation approximately October 29, 2004. Because of the delay in issuing the final solicitation, the due date for proposals and the Agency Tender will be extended to February 28, 2005. One of the major changes made to the solicitation is all workload data for the National Fish Hatcheries and Fish Technology Centers (FTC) where Animal Caretakers or Biological Science Technicians (BST) (or both) work have been placed into this solicitation. Previously, the hatcheries and FTCs where BSTs work were in draft solicitation 982104R054. As a result, the title of the solicitation is changed to Aquatic Species Husbandry. The revised solicitation, to be issued under 982105R053, will have approximately 25 more locations in the final solicitation than appeared in the draft.
