- Solicitation to be issued 8/12/2004. The U. S. Postal Service is soliciting proposals from PREQUALIFIED general contractors to replace fan coils, heating coils, and drip pans for air handler units located at the mail processing & warehouse buildings at the Los Angeles P & DC. Additionally, air handling units for the administration building & customer service lobby must remain operational during business hours. The work must be completed within 120 days after notice to proceed. Estimated range is $1M - $1.25 M. INTERESTED OFFERORS ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND AN ON-SITE PRE-PROPOSAL MEETING SCHEDULED FOR AUGUST 26, 2004 @ 11:00 AM. The NAICS code is 238220. TO SUBMIT A PROPOSAL, COMPLETE, SIGN AND RETURN PAGES 1, 2; SECTION L; ATTACHMENT 4 - SCHEDULE OF VALUES; ATTACHMENT 6 - SUBCONTRACTING PLAN. A bid bond is not required. Proposals must contain the offeror’s overhead, profit, bonds, insurance, and all other contingencies. No allowance for such items will be made after contract award. The minority subcontracting goal for this contract will be 15%. Offers will not be publicly opened. All proposal information will remain confidential until award. Deleted clauses and provisions in this solicitation are replaced by new revised clauses and provisions in Attachment 10. This solicitation is being issued pursuant to the authority of the U. S.
