Description

The Social Security Administration is attempting to identify responsible vendors that can provide maintenance support and upgrades for Government-owned software product (E)JES previously acquired from Phoenix Software International. (E)JES is a software tool used to obtain real time information about jobs and resources in a Multiple Virtual Storage/Enterprise Systems Architecture environment. The (E)JES software consists of interactive panels that assist authorized users to monitor and control jobs, printers, queues and other system resources. The (E)JES software is installed on all mainframe systems located at the National Computer Center, Baltimore, Maryland. Phoenix Software International Inc. is the only known source capable of satisfying SSA?s maintenance and license upgrade requirements. Other organizations possessing the requisite expertise and resources are invited to submit information concerning their capabilities, experience, and other pertinent data (including GSA contract information) within the timeframe specified in this publication. The Government does not intend to pay for any information provided. If no other responses are received, SSA plans to negotiate and place an order with Phoenix Software International Inc. for the required maintenance support.
