Description

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to procure approximately six (6) SHAred Reconnaissance Pods (SHARP) from Raytheon Technical Services Company (RTSC), 6125 East 21st Street, Indianapolis, IN 46219. The Government intends to negotiate solely with RTSC pursuant to Title 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), only one responsible source. The work to be performed requires the application of technical knowledge, and expertise, and detailed familiarity with the design, specification, and fabrication of the SHARP Pod in order to meet fleet schedule requirements. Accordingly, RTSC is the only source with the unique engineering expertise, and in-depth knowledge to fulfill the government’s requirement in the timeframe required.
