Description

The FBI intends to award a sole source purchase order to Fluke Networks, PO Box 777, Everett, WA 98206-0777, for 6 classes in Certified Cabling Test Technician with 10 students in each class. The FBI currently has the OptiFiber OTDR and DSP 4000 machines. Fluke is the manufacturer of the OptiFiber Certifying OTDR and is the sole provider for this training. Training will be held at the FBI Academy facility in Fredericksburg, VA. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2001-25. This is considered a commercial service and is being conducted in accordance with format in FAR, Subpart 12.6 and Subpart 13, SAP as supplemented with additional information in this notice. This will be a fixed priced contract. The NAICS is 611699, and the Business Size Standard is 6 million dollars. Based on FBI market research, it has been determined that the Fluke Networks is the only source to meet the FBI requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond by submitting a proposal to include technical qualifications and experience/pricing and any other information to Andrea K. Pearson, Contracting Officer, address listed above. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement is based upon responses to this notice and is solely within the discretion of the Government. No telephone inquires will be accepted.
