- The purpose of this amendment is to post site visit minutes and change paragraphs v, vi, vii, and xvi of the initial solicitation posted on Oct. 12, 2004. BLDG. 1240 SITE VISIT MINUTES - A site visit to clarify the electrical and computer component requirements for Bldg 1240 was conducted at Malmstrom AFB, MT on 18 Oct 2004 @ 0800 hrs. - The follwing were in attendance: Leonard Carroll 341 CONS 406-731-4608 Larry Skawinski 341 MSS 406-731-4939 Mark Witham Liberty Electric 406-761-6388 Jim Lynch 341 CS 406-731-4314 Bob VanLuchene VANNCOMM Ent. 406-870-1326 MSgt. Bob McClosky 341 CS 406-731-7770 Dave Dower 341 CES 406-731-6900 - Requirements and specifications were further defined during this visit. The following questions were answered: 1 How many cat5E jacks are required in each room? (101 thru 108) See revised solicitation 2 How many ports per jack location? (1, 2, 4, 8 etc?) The number of ports should not exceed 4 in each jack location. 2 What is the approximate distance between the equipment room (the rack and patch panels) and the FURTHEST jack location? You will have to give this estimate. 4 Who is the MDP manufactured by? Square D Company Model# HCWA-12MN, 1200 amp, 480 V rated 5 How many electrical outlets are required in EACH room? See revised solicitation. 6 Is the contractor required to furnish PATCH CABLES with the patch panels. The contractor is not responsible for the patch cables. These were part of the cisco quote that I provided to you. (The contractor is also responsible to for the Switch Rack) 7 Once we know how many total cat5E jacks are required, we can determine the size of the patch panels required, unless the government has a size preference (number of ports) for the pathc panels. Does the government have a size preference on the patch panels? We would prefer to utilize 48 port patch panels due to the size and amount of space required to support up to 240 drops. 8 What are the wire mold requirements? 4000 series or equal 9 Is emt conduit required for electrical wiring? Yes 10 A building diagram with some dimensions are available (FAX) upon request. AMENDED COMBINED SYNOPSIS PURCHASE OF SERVICE TO FURNISH MATERIALS, EQUIPMENT AND LABOR TO INSTALL ELECTICAL COMPONENTS FOR THE EDUCATION CENTER AT MALMSTROM AFB, MONTANA (v) This combined synopsis and solicitation is for the purchase of a service to furnish all labor, equipment, tools, accessories and materials to provide a non-personal service to install electrical and computer component requirements at the Education Center located at Malmstrom AFB, Montana with the following requirements: (vi) a)- Electrical: Furnish and install 1 225 Amp 3 phase breaker in the existing Main Distribution Panel (MDP). The existing MDP is a Square D model HCWA12MN, 120/208 Volt 3 phase, rated 480 Volts. Furnish and install new Panel C - 120/208V, 3ph, 225A, 42 space distribution panel, surface mount, with copper buss, bolt in breakers, and a 225 Amp main breaker. Provide and install new 2.5-inch EMT conduit with 4 #4/0 Cu THHN plus ground conductor. Feeder to new panel to be run in ceiling space from the MDP in the Electrical Room to closet space, approximately 200 ft away. New panel to be surge protected with in-panel over voltage device. All electrical work to be completed by qualified licensed journeyman electrician. All electrical work to be in compliance with the 2002 National Electrical Code. b) Not Used. c)- Furnish and install CAT5e plenum rated cable hung with D-rings for desk jacks in rooms 101, 102 and 103. (All cabling will be tested and certified). d)- Room 101, furnish and install 45-computer port drops hardwired to desks. e)- Room 102, furnish and install 45-computer port drops hardwired to desks. f)- Room 103, furnish and install 41-computer port drops hardwired to desks. g)- Rooms 101, 102 and 103 (Electrical) Provide and install 6 each 20-amp single pole breakers per room in Panel C (18 total). Provide 6 each 20-amp circuits (2#12 Cu THHN w/gnd) per room from Panel C to rooms (18 total circuits). Do not use shared neutrals. Circuits to be run in EMT conduit in ceiling space and flexible metal conduit in wall space. Distance between Panel C and each room is approximately 100 ft. Provide and install 22 duplex receptacles in each room (4 duplex receptacles per circuit, one circuit in each room to have just 2 duplex receptacles). Receptacles are to be installed, evenly spaced around the step riser of a two tier raised floor. Distance around one step is approximately 60 ft. There shall be 10 receptacles around the first step and 12 receptacles around the second step. Receptacles shall be surface mounted in 4000 Series Wiremold (Ivory Colored) or equal as approved by the Contracting Representative. Wiremold shall have a divided space for communication cables, and integral communication jacks at each electrical receptacle. There are two runs of Wiremold of approximately 60 ft long (120 ft total) in each room. The Wiremold will have two 90-degree angles in each run to complete a horseshoe shaped loop. The loop shall terminate at the wall on each end of the loop, and the new in-wall circuits shall feed the Wiremold. h)- Room 104, furnish and install 1 four port and 1 single port computer port (5 ports). Run wire to 4 existing four-port computer ports. i)- Rooms 105, 106 and 107, furnish and install 1 single jack in each room (3 jacks). (Includes cabling back to new rack) j)- Room 108, furnish and install 5 four-port computer ports o Room 108 Electrical Provide and install 4 20-amp single pole breakers in Panel C. Provide and install 4 circuits (2 #12 cu THHN w/gnd in EMT conduit) from Panel C to room 108 (approximately 150 ft). Do not use shared neutrals. Circuits may be routed within walls using flexible metal conduit. Provide and install 4 20 amp duplex receptacles spaced evenly around room 108, each on a dedicated 20 Amp circuit. k)- Room 115, furnish and install 1 six foot standing rack, 2- 96 port patch panels or 4- 48 port patch panels and testing of cables installed. o Room 115 Electrical Provide and install 1 20-amp receptacle on dedicated 20 amp circuit (2 #12 cu THHN, w/ gnd) from Panel C, approximately 120 ft. (vii) Delivery requested no later than 19 December 2004. FOB destination, 341 MSS/DPHS, 4th Av N., Bldg. 1240 Malmstrom AFB, MT 59402-6865. (xvi) Quotes are required to be received no later than 11:00 PM MST, Thursday, 28 October 2004. All quotes must be faxed to (406) 731-3748 to the attention of Leonard Carroll.
