Description

This is a notice that the government intends to award a contract to DRS Technologies, 645 Anchors Street, Ft. Walton Beach, FL 32548 for technical support, repairing and maintaining of the Advanced Range Data System (ARDS) Full Range Production (FRP) instrumentation pod. Due to the proprietary nature of the embedded firmware and hardware, the services required for support, maintenance and repair are only available from DRS Technologies and is the only known source that can meet our requirement. Othe r than full and open competition will be used under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirement. This notice is not a request for quotations. No solicitation or RFQ will be fo rthcoming. Interested parties must respond by COB 25 Oct 2004. See Note 22. Point of contact is Hortensia E.
