Description

The National Institute of Diabetes, and Digestive and Kidney Diseases, National Institutes of Health, intends to negotiate an extension of 22 ? months for the United States Renal Data System ? Coordinating Center (USRDS-CC) contract with the Minneapolis Medical Research Foundation. This modification will extend the ending of the period of performance of subject contract from December 15, 2004 to October 29, 2006 to sinchronize the completion of all the USRDS contracts (the Coordination Center and the four Special Studies Centers). The USRDS-CC is tasked under subject contract to obtain the national and regional samples for the planned Comprehensive Dialysis Study (CDS) and other special data studies, and to provide baseline existing data from the USRDS database. In order to complete the CDS, which is being conducted jointly by the Coordinating Center and the four Special Studies Centers, the periods of performance must coincide for all the USRDS centers. This extension will be negotiated under the authority of the 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1), (FAR 6.302-1), ONLY ONE RESPONSIBLE SOURCE AND NO OTHER SUPPLIES OR SERVICES WILL SATISFY AGENCY REQUIREMENTS.
