Description
A fixed quantity, firm-fixed price contract is contemplated for National Stock Number (NSN): 2915012261038NZ; Part Number: 2670351; Body and Piston Assembly. Quantity: 9 EA; Required Delivery: Delivery to start Oct 2005. Destination: Ship to FB2039; Size and Dimensions: 8 inches (Approx) Length by 4.5 inches (Approx) Width by 6 inches (Approx) Height. Predominant Material: Steel Alloy, Aluminum AMS4215. Form, Fit and Function: The body and piston assembly is a matched set and an integral part of the NHA, F100-PW-220 engine. The Government plans to negotiate a sole-source contract with Honeywell International, 717 North Bendix Drive, South Bend IN 46620-1001, under the authority of FAR 13.106 (b)(1), as Honeywell International is the only approved source. Formal solicitation will not be developed. However, if formal solicitation is requested it will be provided. Technical data relating to this part is incomplete or not available and cannot be furnished by the Government. Qualification requirements are available for this Part Number upon request. Qualification information can be obtained from OC-ALC/BC, Attention: Source Development Office, 3001 Staff Drive Suite 1AG85A, Tinker AFB OK 73145-3009 (405) 739-7243 or (405) 739-7244. Please note that the Government is not required to delay contract award in order to review pending Source Approval Requests (SARs). Therefore, offerors are encouraged to submit SARs as soon as possible. If the Government has not completed review of the SAR when the contract is awarded, the SAR will be retained and reviewed for possible source approval for future awards. All proposals must be received by 4:00 PM Central Time on 1 Nov 2004. All responsible sources may submit a quote that shall be considered by the Government. The award date is estimated to be on or about 5 November 2004. See Government-Wide Numbered Notes 23 and 26.
