Description: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Accountant services is for the Third Party Outpatient Collection System (TPOCS) and claims processing. The TPOCS System is a DOD mandated program used by all DOD components for financ e and accounting in capturing cost for medical expenses. Additionally, knowledge of the various types of insurances and familiarity with policies and regulations that govern medical insurance. Familiarity with medical terminology and compliance requireme nts of various insurance companies are required. The accountant is responsible for all in-patient account reporting requirements to Health Services Command. The employee is responsible for the final reconciliation of all accouont balanes with related acc ounts in other parts ot the accounting system.
