- The USDA, Forest Service, Southern Region is soliciting quotes for Exclusive-Use, Type III Helicopter services to conduct fire suppression and aerial ignition operations, using Premo Mark III (Ping Pong Ball Dispenser) machines, provide observation/recon platforms, and supply water drops for the control of wildfires and in support of prescribed fires for a 90-day period. The solicitation will be posted on this website on or about November 8, 2004. The designated base will be at in Oxford, AL. All responsible sources may submit a quote, which shall be considered by the agency. See Numbered Notes 12 and 13.
