- The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) intends to award a sole source purchase order to Eisenhower Inn & Conference Center, Gettysburg, MD 17325, pursuant to 41 U.S.C.253(c)(1)--Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This is for the Annual Scientific Review Conference to be held November 14-16, 2004, sponsored by the NIH/National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI), Bethesda, MD. Conference facility must accommodate approximately 360 attendees, one conference room for approx. 20, one conference room for approx. 200, a theater conference room for approx. 275, and a poster presentation room for approx. 275. Conference rooms to be available concurrently. Package also includes meals, morning and afternoon breaks, overnight accommodations (approx. 260 rooms), audiovisual equipment, and other miscellaneous conference support services. The justification is based on previous market research to locate a facility large enough and within driving distance of NIH, Bethesda, MD, to accommodate this size function. All responsible sources may respond by submitting a written narrative statement of capability within 15 days of date of notice to Dee Lunney at the above address for consideration by the agency. Response must include detailed technical information and other technical literature demonstrating the ability to meet these requirements. Responses shall also include itemized pricing that is sufficient to make a determination that competition is feasible. If no affirmative responses are received within 15 days of this notice to determine whether a qualified source is more advantageous to the Government, an order will be placed with Eisenhower Inn and Conference Center. The NAICS Code/Size is 721110/$6.0M.. This procurement is to be processed using Simplified Acquisition Procedures and is not expected to exceed the Simplified Acquisition threshold of $100,000.
