Destination: FB2039,Tinker AFB 73145. FOB Origin. Contract Type: Firm-Fixed Price. Delivery Schedule:10 ea starting June 2005. This item is critical to performance and safe engine operation. This requirement is sole source under 10 USC 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1(a)(2). Approved source(s) are Spar Precision (Cage: 36480) and General Electric (Cage: 99207). Existing unique design capability, engineering skills, and manufacturing knowledge by the qualified source(s) require acquisition of the part from the approved source(s). The approved source(s) retain data rights, manufacturing knowledge, or technical data that are not economically available to the Government, and the data or knowledge is essential to maintaining the quality of the part. An alternate source should contact the approved source(s) for sub-contracting opportunities. Sources must be qualified prior to being considered for award. The solicitation will contain instructions of obtaining further information on this requirement. NOTE: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposed development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
