- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Description: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Philadelphia District is issuing a Request for Quote (RFQ) to acquire high voltage distribution equipment for the completion of prime power grid at Kandahar Airfield, Afghanistan. Request for Quote (RFQ) num ber W912BU-05-T-0008 has been assigned. The NAICS code is 423610, with a size standard of 500 employees. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.603, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation with not be issued. Delivery is required FOB Destination to Kandahar, Afghanistan within 45 calendar days after receipt of order. The provision at FAR 52.212-2l, Evaluation Commercial Items applies. The evaluation factors are price and delivery. Delivery is more important tha n price. The provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representative and Certifications-Commercial Items, must be completed and returned with the offer. The provisions at 52.212-1, 52.212-4, and 52.212-5 apply. All contractors are required to be registered in the DODs Central Contract Register (CCR) before award as required by DFARS 204.7300.
