Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Description: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Philadelphia District is issuing a Request for Quote (RFQ) to acquire high voltage distribution equipment for the completion of prime power grid at Kandahar Airfield, Afghanistan. Request for Quote (RFQ) num ber W912BU-05-T-0008 has been assigned. The NAICS code is 423610, with a size standard of 500 employees. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.603, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation with not be issued. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect throu gh Federal Acquisition Circular, 2001-20. Delivery is required FOB Destination to Kandahar, Afghanistan within 45 calendar days after receipt of order. The provision at FAR 52.212-2l, Evaluation Commercial Items applies. The evaluation factors are price and delivery. Delivery is more important tha n price. The provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representative and Certifications-Commercial Items, must be completed and returned with the offer. The provisions at 52.212-1, 52.212-4, and 52.212-5 apply. All responsible sources may submit a quote for consideration. The Government will not pay for information received. Bondi ng is not required. All contractors are required to be registered in the DODs Central Contract Register (CCR) before award as required by DFARS 204.7300. Also, contractors who receive a federal contract of $25,000 or more are required by legislation to submit an annual VETS-100 Report on your employment of targeted veterans.
