Description
This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities(FBO) page located at http://www.eps.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line(NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by NSWC Crane. The Government has a requirement for Arresting Cables in accordance with NSWC Crane Statement of Work, Prime Item Specifications and drawings. The arresting cable is a component of the Mk1 And Mk2 Mine Clearance Systems. The arresting cable is a specially built nylon rope with electrical conductor running the entire length. The purpose of the electrical conductor is to carry an electrical charge to a firing device and detonate 1,750 pounds of explosive at the end of the arresting cable. The contract is anticipated as a five year Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity type contract. The minimum quantity for the contract is 500 cables, and the maximum quantity is 2,500. 15 each arresting cables will be required as a first article lot. First article testing shall be performed by the contractor. Delivery requirements for the first articles is 210 days after contract award. After first article approval, 160 each units are required 30 days per month until delivery order ! is complete. Preliminary inspection shall be conducted at source, with final inspection at destination. Delivery will be required F.O.B. destination to NSWC Crane. The solicitation will be posted on the NSWC Crane website at www.crane.navy.mil, and is expected to be posted on or about 8 November, 2004. All responsible sources may submit an offer that will be considered. Portions of the technical data package contain information that is export controlled. Only those companies that have completed DD Form 2345, and are certified under the Joint Certification Program (JCP) are authorized to receive the package. Please email or fax requests for the technic! al data to Ms. McDaniel if interested, so that the package may be sent out as soon as possible after confirmation of registration under the JCP. This will ensure the data is received in a timely manner for proposal purposes. Additional information about the JCP is available at http://www.dlis.dla.mil/jcp/. Numbered Notes 1 and 26 apply.
