Description
This requirement is a Set-Aside for Small Business. The NAICS code is 238990 with a small business size standard of 500 employees. The resulting contract will be a firm fixed price for one year, with four Option Periods. All on-site contractor employees must pass the Government's provided security background check within 10 days after award in order to be eligible to work on-site. The award is planned for November 19, 2004. The actual performance start time is to begin by December 1, 2004. An on-site tour will be conducted at 10:00am on Wednesday, November 10, 2004. The description of this requirement is for one small business contractor to provide all the necessary labor required to reconstruct, assemble, set-up a variety of small housing configurations specified in the performance work statement. The cells must be completed prior to the arson and explosives training class exercises that include tearing out the destroyed sections ending the class exercise. The potential contractor must be located within 80 miles of Brunswick, Georgia. The contractor is expected to perform services in phases and time constraints. It is anticipated that a total of 91 reconfigurations of structured type cells will be required for 12 months, primarily between the months of December 1, 2004 through July 2005. There are 8 classes that requires a total of 16 flashover cells, 48 burn cells 24 post blast cells and 3 complex burn. The performance period is for 11 various cells to be structured beginning December 1, 2004. The annual total structured cells are 91 that consist of the following types and quantities: 2 (two) Flashover Cells; 6 (six) Burn cells, 3 (three) Post Blast Cells, with 3 (three) Complex Burn Building. All materials required will be furnished by the academy. A site tour will be conducted at 10:00am on Wednesday, November 10, 2004. All responsible and responsive offerors must be registered in the Department of Defense?s (DOD) Central Contractor Registration database (CCR) in order to be considered eligible for award.
