Description
The Air Force has a requirement to purchase up to 64 each Conventional Air Launched Cruise Missile/Air Launched Cruise Missile Test Instrumentation Kits (CATIK.) The CATIK is a special weapons bay replacement door containing the equipment necessary to control ALCMs and CALCMs during test flights. The hardware and software on the door is used for telemetry, tracking and data gathering, analysis, control and termination actions during flight tests. The CATIK consists of 4 subsystems; tracking, telemetry, power, and flight termination. The contractor shall provide CATIKs, Spares, Software, Technical Orders, Support Equipment, Warhead Simulators and Data. The approximate issue date will be 17 November 2004. Subject synopsis is determined to be a sole source acquisition to The Boeing Company, 9725 East Marginal Way South, Seattle, WA. Written procedure will be used for this solicitation. No telephone requests. Only written or faxed requests received directly from the requestor are acceptable. The Government does not have a reprocurement data package to provide potential offerors. It is suggested that small business firms or others interested in subcontracting opportunities in connection with the described procurement make contact with the firm listed. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process. Interested parties are invited to call the Ombudsman at (405) 736-3273.
