Description

Construction and reconstruction of portions of Passage Falls Trail #588. Work to include retreading 450 feet of existing trail to teh base of Passage Falls. This will require full bench on 75 percent sideslope. Other specified work will be construciton of log crib landing/falls viewing area, reconstruciton of seven switchbacks, grade dips, rock water bars, check dams and rock step/risers. There is a substantial quantity of rock retaining walls to be constructed and old barbed wire cleanup. The entire project is outside of the Wilderness/Roadless study area and motorized equipment such as mini-excavator, gravel haulers, etc. will be allowed. Someblasting or jack hammer work may be required to meet tread specifications. Estimated price range: Between $25,000 and $100,000. A request for written quotations will be issued. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which shall be considered. The solicitation will be posted to the FEDBIZOPPS website and will provide all necessary information for quoters to prepare and submit a quote. Anticipated award date is 30 June 2004, or earlier. Constrct is to be completed no later than 30 October 2004. NOTE: THIS NOTICE MAY HAVE POSTED ON WWW.FEDBIZOPPS.GOV ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (05-MAY-2004).
