- Description
- The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas intends to make a single award for the provision of solid waste removal and disposal services for the Federal Correctional Institution located in Miami, Florida. Faith-based and Community-based Organizations have the right to submit offers/bids equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. The anticipated date of award will be approximately February 2005. The contract performance period is anticipated to consist of a base period from effective date of award through September 30, 2005, with four 12-month option years for renewal. The estimated quantities for the base period are as follows: (2)-30 cubic yard wet-waste compactors (contractor owned and rented by the Government) times an aggregate of 56 scheduled pick-ups, six estimated unscheduled pickups, and seven rental fees for each compactor; The base period estimates are assuming a February 2005 award. The estimated quantities for Option Years #1-4 are as follows: (2)-30 cubic yard wet-waste compactors (contractor owned and rented by the Government) times an aggregate of 104 scheduled pick-ups, 10 estimated unscheduled pickups, and 12 rental fees for each compactor. The solicitation will be made available on or about November 8, 2004 and will be distributed solely through the General Administrations Federal Business Opportunities website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information regarding this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The anticipated date for receipt of quotes is November 30, 2004. All responsible sources may submit a quote which will be considered.
