Description
The purpose of this announcement is to inform industry that the Army Contracting Agency, Southern Region Contracting Center-East intends to hold an Industry Conference on Thursday, November 4, 2004 for a First Army Requirement. This acquisition is i ntended to be Time & Material, Requirements Contract, and Set Aside for 8(a) competition. First U.S. Army is responsible to mobilize, train, validate, and deploy mobilized National Guard and Reserve soldiers. First U.S. Armys Area of Responsibility exte nds from the Mississippi River to the east. Contractor will provide management, role players, foreign language speakers and cultural awareness training to support training of soldiers deploying into theater at various sites through the Continental United States. Our intention is to receive industry feedback on the draft documents and to identify all interested parties. The time for the conference will be 10:30 a.m.  12:30 p. m. The location for the conference is the Commons, Ft McPherson, GA. A draft S tatement of Work, Exhibits and Conference Power Point Presentation may be obtained from the SRCC-E's website at http://www.forscom.army.mil/aacc/currentops. Documents will be posted not later than COB November 1 2004. The title of this acquisition is 1 A Mobilization Training Requirement. To aid us in preparing for this event, we request you furnish us the following information: (1) The names of all attendees representing your company/team (identify by company name); (2) questions and comments regarding the draft documents provided; and (3) one or two items that you would be particularly interested in hearing discussed during the conference. Please provide the requested information to us at: yvonne.earls@forscom.army.mil no later than Wednesday Novembe r 3rd, 12:00 p.m. The Commons is located in Building 499, Fort McPherson, at West Miller Drive. Driving directions: From the Main Street Gate (Hardee Street) left lane, turn left on to Walker Avenue, left on to Van Horn Road, then take the second left on to Miller Drive at the Sgt. Audie Murphy Barracks and Post Gym, Building 422. Follow Miller Drive to The Commons. Please remember that you may experience a 30 Minutes delay due to Main Gate registration for Visitors.
