Description
VA Medical Center, Network Logistics Office (509/10N7/NLO), 1 Freedom Way, Augusta, GA 30904-6285 requires Ambulance & Transporation Services performed for the Carl Vinson VA Medical Center, 1826 Veterans Blvd., Dublin, GA 31021. Furnish all necessary personnel and equipment to provide emergent and non-emergency, twenty-four (24) hour per day, seven (7) days per week, three hundred sixty-five (365) days per year, ground services for eligible beneficiaries of the Carl Vinson VAMC, Dublin, GA. Upon the request, the Contractor will provide Basic Life Support, Advance Life Support and Critical Care Transport ambulance and wheelchair van, vans, and non-emergency stretcher transports of patients to designated areas. The Contractor may be required to transport patients to another facility for treatment or tests, wait and return same patient to the pre-determined destination. The vehicles, personnel and services rendered will conform to all federal, state, and local statutes, rules and regulations. Each patient will be treated with the utmost of respect and concern, with a professional approach to his/her dignity as an individual and patient. All communication, both verbal and non-verbal, by Contractors personnel with and in the presence of the patient, will be conducted in a professional manner. The Contractors personnel will practice the utmost discretion when discussing the patients condition with hospital professionals in the presence of the patient or relatives. All patient charts and records transported with the patient are confidential and limited to a need to know basis for the Contractors personnel. Appropriate administrative and medical information will be provided to the Contractor for patient transport. If the medical record is transported with the patient, it may be used as a source of information if the situation warrants. In all other instances, all documents will remain intact and secured. The Contractor will maintain the highest quality standards both patient and medical care. The care will be, at a minimum, consistent with current community standards of medical practice and the standards established by the medical staff of the Carl Vinson VAMC. Patient and Medical Care Practices, which appear to be inconsistent with the quality level of care expected by the Carl Vinson Medical Staff, will be evaluated by a team of Carl Vinson VAMC administrative and clinical staff. The results of this evaluation will be communicated to the Contractor and their Medical Advisor through the Contracting Officer of Contracting Officer_s Technical Representative (COTR). NAICS Code 621910 Size Standard 6.0 Million with the estimated project value being $1,000,000.00 to $5,000,000.00. A Firm Fixed Price contract is anticipated. Requests for offeror will only be accepted from responsible businesses currently engaged in this type of commerce.
