- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The 106th Rescue Wing of the New York Air National Guard at F.S. Gabreski Airport in Westhampton Beach, New York is in need of one (1) tag hitch enclosed cargo trailer. This Request for Quote (RFQ) W912PQ-05-T-0004 is 100% set aside under the procedures o f FAR Part 12. Specifications: Trailer must be capable of transporting a 5,000 lb forklift measuring 84 inches high, 46 inches wide, and 98 inches long. External trailer dimensions; height (determined by internal clearance for forklift), width 102 inches, and length 197 inches. Exterior color: White. Interior dimensions; length 164 inches, width 96 inches, height (must allow for adequate clearance of forklift), width between wheel wells 82 inches, platform height 22 inches. EZ lube tandem axels, 4 wheel ele ctric brakes with breakaway switch, tire size ST225/R15, load range D, 15 inch wheels, hitch ball size 2 5/16 inch, hitch height to top of ball 20 inches, hitch weight 280 lbs, curb weight 2,920 lbs, GVWR 10,000 lbs, payload capacity 7,080 lbs average, rea r door ramp with cam locks, rear opening width 90 inches, height (must allow for adequate clearance of forklift), 12 volt electrical connection 7 way, fiberglass front cap, prefinished exterior aluminum skin .030 in, one (1) piece aluminum insulated roof , 14 x 14 inch weatherproof non-powered roof vent, white ceiling liner, 3/8 inch plywood interior walls, recessed square D-ring tie downs on floor, floor thickness and cross members must be of adequate quantity, material and spacing to support forklift we ight, wall studs 15 inches on center, roof bows 16 inches on center, 36 inch side door, electric front jack for raising/lowering hitch tongue, safety chains and hooks. Drop post corner jacks are required to prevent trailer tipping when forklift is being lo aded/unloaded. Ramp door must be of adequate material and strength to support forklift weight and provided with a spring assist. All interior lights to be controlled by switches next to side door and rear ramp. Additional lights mounted inside trailer at r ear to illuminate ramp area, external 12 volt heavy duty battery located behind electric jack in weatherproof casing to operate lights and front jack. Externally mounted weatherproof 120 volt AC male receptacle connected to two (2) internal 120Volt AC wall receptacles, one at front of trailer and one next to rear ramp, for providing internal 120V electric power. 120 Volt AC system must also be wired to charge 12 V DC battery when power is supplied externally. Delivery and acceptance is FOB destination and is to be delivered to the 106th RQW, Westhampton Beach, New York within 120 days after award. This solicitation number W912PQ-05-T-0004 is being issued as a request for quote and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acqui sition Circular 2001-25. This procurement is a small business set aside. The NAICS for this requirement is 336212 (Truck trailer manufacturing), Size Standard is 500 Employees. Award shall be based on the lowest price and technically acceptable proposal.
