Description

This is a notice of intent to award on a sole source basis for the commercial items in accordance with FAR Part 12 procedures, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only notice. A written solicitation will not be issued. This action is being processed in accordance with Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. The place of performance is the Federal Medical Center, Butner, North Carolina. Under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, FCC Butner intends to issue to Varian Medical Systems a sole source purchase order for the continued maintenance and support of a Varian Linear Accelerator CI2100C/CD. The maintenance agreement includes full service support for routine and non-routine service, labor, expenses, and parts.
