Description
The United States Environmental Protection Agency's Office of Acquisition Management will issue a solicitation to provide technical support services to EPA Region 1 for emergency response, removal, site assessment, and related technical and administrative services as defined in the Comprehensive Environmental Compensation, and Liability Act of 1980 (CERCLA or Superfund) as amended, the National Oil and Hazardous Substances Pollution Contingency Plan and other environmental statutes. The contractor will provide services to support response and site assessment activities related to the release or threat of release of oil, petroleum products, hazardous substances, weapons of mass destruction or pollutants and contaminants, that pose an actual or potential threat to human health or welfare, or to the environment. It is the Government's intent to award a Fixed-Rate, Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract with a 48 month period of performance and 3 x 24 month earned award terms for a possible total period of performance of 10 years. The estimated value of this contract for 10 years is expected to be at least $108,000,000. Request for proposal PR-HQ-04-10525 will be released 15 days from the posting date of this synopsis. The purpose of the FedBizOpps announcement is to notify potential offerors of EPA's requirement and to direct interested parties to the EPA's "Business Opportunities with EPA" Internet World Wide Website at http://www.epa.gov/oam/index.htm. The request for proposals (RFP), amendments and other items for this procurement will be posted on the EPA website and can be downloaded through the date of contract award, estimated on or around April 1, 2005. EPA's "Business Opportunities with EPA" web site is at the following URL: http://www.epa.gov/oam/index.htm. At this web page, select "Solicitations and Amendments" link. Then select " Superfund/RCRA Regional Procurement Operations Division." Under the Solicitation and Amendments heading select "Superfund Technical Assessment and Response Team III, Region 1." Award will be made on a best value basis with technical being equal to cost/price. The North American Classification Standard (NAICS) code 562910 applies.
