- Description
- The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) intends to award a sole source procurement to Claritas, Inc., 53 Brown Road, Ithica, NY 14850 for the renewal of its software license for iEXPRESS for MpInfo Professional, as well as support for one additional user and one additional user guide. APHIS originally purchased this license in May 2001. This renewal is for a period of October 1, 2004 through September 30, 2005 with the option to extend services for up to two additional option years. This is a sole source procurement because of the proprietary nature of the software. No solicitation is available and requests for a solicitation will be ignored. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. This notice of intent is not a request for offers/quotations. A determination not to compete this proposed procurement is solely within the discretion of the Government.
