Description

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has a requirement for a Contractor to provide assistance to NIST in assembling the final report on Project #4 of the World Trade Center investigation: Active Fire Protection Systems. The active fire protection systems include the automatic fire sprinklers, fire detection and alarms, smoke purging, and preconnected hoses as designed, installed and operated on September 11, 2001 in WTC 1, 2, and 7. Specific details regarding this requirement will be available in the solicitation package. This requirement has a short turnaround and therefore, the Government requires quotes by November 9, 2004 and anticipates the award of a firm-fixed price (FFP) purchase order to begin on or about November 15, 2004. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 541690, with a size standard of $6.0 million. All interested offerors may submit a quote, which shall be considered by the agency. The competitive solicitation, solicitation amendments, and all questions and answers related to this procurement will be made available via the Internet at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. The solicitation is anticipated for release to the vendor community on or about November 4, 2004 and will only be available via the Internet at the above web site. Potential offerors are responsible for accessing the web site. Interested parties must respond to the solicitation in order to be considered for award of any resultant purchase order. There is no written solicitation document available, telephone requests will not be honored, and no bidders list will be maintained.
