Description

MODIFICATION TO PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE: The Federal Bureau of Prisons plans to issue IFB VIM-0001 for expansion of the freezer storage (food products) and garage/vehicle maintenance facilities at the Federal Correctional Complex located in Victorville, California. This modification makes two changes to the pre-solicitation notice: (1) The period of performance for the resulting contract is changed from 90 days from notice to proceed to 180 days from notice to proceed, and (2) The bid opening date is changed to from December 3, 2004, to December 17, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. local time. The magnitude of this project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The NAICS code for this requirement is 236220; the small business size standard is $28.5 million. Any contractor interested in obtaining a contract award with the Federal Bureau of Prisons must be registered at www.ccr.gov. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations have the right to submit offers equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. The solicitation will be available on or about November 3, 2004. The solicitation will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities web site http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Hard copies of the solicitation will NOT be available. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information about this solicitation, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. This acquisition is a Total Small Business Set-Aside (Numbered Note 1).
