Item Description: A cast and machined metal plate the function is to attach to a set of other castings to form a box containing a set of meshed gears, hold them in alignment, and serve as a mount for other accessories. The dimensions are 14.845 inches long by 8 inches wide and 4 inches thick. The material consists of an alloy of magnesium and silver. Engine: F110-100. Destination: FB2039. Quantity: Ranges will be solicited between 48 and 122 ea The BEQ is 97 each.. Delivery: 31 OCT 2005. Qualification Requirements: Sources must be qualified prior to being considered for award. The solicitation will contain instructions for obtaining further information on this requirement Qualification requirements apply to line item(s) 0001. Data may be obtained from the TeDs website at www.dodteds.com once the solicitation is issued. The approximate issue date of the solicitation will be 18 NOV 2004. The approximate response date of the solicitation will be 20 DEC 2004. The anticipated award date will be 31 JAN 2005. Written and electronic procedure will be used for this solicitation. First Article Test Required. No telephone requests. The solicitation must be printed from FedBizOps by the contractor. This office will not mail solicitations. All responsible sources solicited may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered. Award will be made only if the offeror, the product/service, or the manufacturer meets qualification requirements at the time of award in accordance with FAR clause 52.209-1. Note: While price will be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final contract award decision may be based upon a combination of price and past performance factors as detailed in the solicitation. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential Offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
