Equipment shall be reliable and easy to operate. ACCEPTABLE QUALITY LEVEL: The Industrial Wastewater Treatment Plant is composed of two separate waste streams. One waste stream is discharge from steam cleaning operations. It consists of oils, greases, dirt, and detergents. Flow rate is approximately 100,000 GPD. The other waste stream is general waste. It consists of heavy metals and acid/alka li rinse water. Flow rate is approximately 100,000 GPD. The equipment shall provide clarification of raw water to meet the following effluent limitations (standards based on 200,000 300,000 GPD process flow): CONTAINMENT; UNITS; DAILY MAXIMUM; AVERAGE : Copper, Total ppd 3.33, 1.67. All effluent limitations shall be met 100 % of the time during discharge. Sludge from the two waste streams shall remain separated for d isposal purposes. The clarification process must have a hydraulic retention time of 10 minutes or less. The overall footprint of the clarification process and associated equipment shall be less than or equal to 160 square feet.
