Description
The United States Penitentiary (USP), Pollock, Louisiana is requesting offers under RFQ-51904-0009-5 for the purchase of 1,080 cases of non carbonated beverage. This solicitation is for a Firm-Fixed Price, Commercial Items, Single Award Contract. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The following information will serve as the solicitation and no other information will be sent out unless specifically requested by calling or faxing a request to Gina Roach at (318) 561-5304 or fax at (318) 561-5325. The minimum generic requirements of these. All products will be packaged in 5 gallon bag-in-a-box container. The Lemon, Fruit Punch, Orange, and Grape flavors will mix at a 15 to 1 ratio, and both the sweet and unsweetened tea at a ratio of 11 to 1. All fruit flavored drinks shall be Vitamin C enriched and certified ?Kosher.? Aspartame shall be the preferred artificial sweetener of each product. Six heavy duty stainless steel cabinet merchandiser beverage dispensers, each with six dispensing valves. At least one valve on each dispenser shall also dispense chilled water. ( Four for the USP inmate dining room, one for the FPC dining room, and one for the USP staff dining room). Each of the six dispensers shall have a ?built-in? sanitary ice reservoir and ice dispenser. All dispensers shall be equipped with heavy duty ?prison package? style locks to turn power on and off. All equipment, parts, hoses, and tools necessary for installation of all product dispensers. (Note: the beverage base will be pumped to each dispensing unit from a remote warehouse location.) All replacement parts, routine maintenance on the equipment, and service calls at no charge. All calls for service, and or repairs will be handled within 24 hours of notice. Required product will be delivered the first week of each FY-2005 quarter, or as otherwise stipulated by Food Service administrative staff. The Government will make award to the responsible offeror whose offer conforms to this solicitation and is most advantageous to the Government. The proposed cost or price must include all associated charges or fee?s and delivery cost (FOB Destination) to Pollock, Louisiana at 1000 Airbase Road. Contractor must deliver the dispenser within fifteen (15) days from date of award. All offers must be received by the Contracting Officer No Later Than 4:00 PM, CST, on November 23, 2004. It is anticipated that an award from this solicitation will be made by December 7, 2004. The Government's obligation under this contract is contingent upon the availability of appropriated funds from which payment for contract purposes can be made. No legal liability on the part of the Government for any payment may arise until funds are made available to the Contracting Officer for this contract and until the Contractor receives notice of such availability, to be confirmed in writing by the Contracting Officer.
