Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Winn Army Community Hospital, Fort Stewart, Georgia, h as a requirement for Four (4) Medical Equipment Repairers, BMET Level II and III; with majors duties to install, modify, troubleshoot, maintain, test, calibrate, adjust, overhaul and repair a wide variety of medical laboratory, and dental equipment (elec tronic, electrical, and mechanical) for a period of performance of 01 December 2004 through 30 September 2005 with a one year option period. The Medical Equipment Repairer shall have a minimum of two years experience working on medical equipment, be a graduate or certified at least by the U.S. Military Bio-Medical Maintenance Couurse (MOS 91A) or two year Associates Degree in Biomedical Equipment Repairer or the equivalent thereof, and or AAMI certified for Bio-Medical Engineering or equivalent. The contractor shall provide on-site services for an average 40 hours work week, Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays and military training holidays as designated by the requesting activity. Shift will be any consecutive 9 hours (including an u npaid 1 hour for break) between 0700 and 2200 hours. When directed as required to support the patient care mission, the requesting activity can require contractor to work overtime. The requirement is firm fixed price for the procurement of commerci al items with a place of performance at the Winn Army Community Hospital, Medical Medical Section, Building P302; 1061 Harmon Avenue, Fort Stewart, Georgia, 31314-5611. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) for this procurement is 561310. The provisions at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial, applies to this acquisition. FAR 52.212-2  Evaluation- The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conform ing to the solicitation will be most advantages to the Government, price and other factors considered. Evaluation factors of (1) past performance (2) Compensation Plan (3) Technical Capability/Qualification (4) Start time (5) Price. Technical, Comp ensation, past performance, start up time and price will be equal in consideration to each other. The Government reserves the right to evaluate offerors prices on the basis of price realism and will considerr the offerors price as an indication that the y understand the scope of the Governments requirement.
