Description
The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Norfolk Detachment Philadelphia intends to solicit on a 100% small business set-aside basis, Remote Medical Analyzing and Coding Services for the National Naval Medical Center (NNMC), Bethesda, MD. This requirement is being solicited as a commercial item acquisition in accordance with FAR Part 12. This acquisition will result in the award of a firm fixed price contract with a base period of performance commencing on the date of award and continuing through the end of FY05. The resultant contract will include option provisions for each of the successive four fiscal years. Total estimated annual records count is 514,800 records. The contractor will be required to provide a remote system capable of providing the required analyzing and coding services. The contractor will need to provide assistance with the system implementation, training and integration with CHCS or other necessary systems. The contractor will be required to perform all analyzing and coding, as well as accelerating the coding and third party collection process. Contractor will use only the most current coding manuals and codes. In addition, the contractor will occasionally be required to provide on-site remote medical coding auditors, and on-site specialty trainers. Contractor will provide on-site administrative technical support services for indexing and scanning medical records, as well as to provide encrypted medical scanners. The contractor may need to provide other on-site technical services for system implementation program management and engineering support services as well as system training of Government program staff. The Request for Proposal (RFP) may require the submission of technical, past performance and cost/price proposals. The RFP will consider technical proposals more important than price. The applicable North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) Code for this requirement is 541611; size standard $6 million. In accordance with Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps), Numbered Note 1 applies to this requirement. The solicitation will be made available electronically upon its release at www.neco.navy.mil. Paper copies, faxed copies, or e-mail copies of the solicitation will not be provided. Interested parties are solely responsible for monitoring the above website for posting of the solicitation and any amendments thereto. The Government will not pay for information received.
