- NAICS Code: 541710 The Atlantic Ecology Division (AED) of the National Health and Environmental Research Laboratory (NHEERL), Office of Research and Development (ORD) at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is seeking a college student to provide services under a contractual agreement to assist in synthesizing information to understand and develop models to predict the effects of environmental stressors on aquatic-dependent wildlife, focusing on the effects of toxic chemicals on avian (bird) populations. The student contractor must be at least 18 years of age, completed a M.S. degree in biology, marine science, oceanography, ecology, environmental science, fisheries and wildlife, zoology or related academic field, or be enrolled as a graduate student in one of these academic fields at an accredited college/university. The student contractor must be familiar with basic laboratory/field health and safety. The period of performance will begin approximately on January 1, 2005 and end approximately December 31, 2005, with an option for an additional 12 month period of performance. The optional period of performance will be exercised at the discretion of the Government. It is anticipated that the student contractor will work approximately 940 hours during the period. The principal duty station location is 27 Tarzwell Drive, Narragansett, RI 02882. Regular, planned travel is anticipated from Narragansett, RI, to Ithaca, NY (Cornell Laboratory of Ornithology).
