Description
This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities(FBO) page located at http://www.eps.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line(NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by NSWC Crane. The Government intends to procure on a sole source basis from ATK Gun Systems, Mesa, AZ 30mm MK 44 Mod 1 Automatic Guns, Spare Parts, and Special Tools and Equipment in support of LPD-17 and Rapid Airborne Mine Clearance System (RAMICS) programs. The guns must be capable of interfacing with the MK 46 Mod 1 Weapon System and the MK 104 Mod 0 Gun Mount. The guns must be capable of firing 30mm x 173 family of ammunition at a rate of 200 shots per minute. The guns must meet safety requirements needed for U.S. Navy Weapon Systems Explosive Safety Review Board (WSESRB) certification. The gun must meet Navy performance characteristics (i.e. dispersion, ammunition handling, and power) and conform to interface specifications for the MK 46 Weapon System and the MK 104 Gun Mount. This contract action is for a quantity of five MK 44 Mod 1 30mm Automatic Guns, six lots of LPD-17-22 Initial Spares and Support Equipment, one lot of NSWC Crane Training Support Equipment, one lot NSWC D! ahlgren Division Test Support Equipment and one lot of RAMICS Spares. The contract will also require data. The government will require delivery of the contract quantity as follows: two guns within 180 days of order with delivery of the remainder within 365 days after the effective date of the contract. Delivery is expected on a FOB Destination basis with shipment to Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane, Indiana 47522 and Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, Dahlgren, Virginia 22448. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency.
