Description

The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) intends to procure two Magnetic Sensor Assemblies from Cummins-Allison Corporation of Carlsbad, California. The Magnetic Sensor Housing Assembly is used in the bureau?s Universal Magnetic Detection System and for counterfeit detection. Cummins-Allison was initially awarded a contract to produce two test units and this procurement is a follow-on buy of two additional units. This procurement action is for supplies in which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.3021. See numbered note 22. The resulting purchase order will not exceed the simplified purchase threshold. The procedures set forth in FAR Part 13.106-3 shall be used. The point of contact for this procurement is Mr. Frank B.
