Description
NA The purpose of this synopsis is to announce the Government?s intent to increase, on a non-competitive basis, the value of Contract No.DTRS57-03-D-30024 with Flight Safety Technologies, Inc. (FST) from $3,975,004 to $7,212,214.00. The contract Phase III was awarded to FST on a non-competitive basis for the development, implementation and validation of a sensor called SOCRATES (Sensor for Optically Characterizing Remote Atmospheric Turbulence Emanating Sound). SOCRATES is a proprietary technology available only from FST and is focused on exploiting the acoustic signatures of the sounds emanated by and propagated from these distant acoustic signatures. The additional funding will allow for completion of technical activities remaining in the SOCRATES Phase III contract. This notice is for information purposes only and not a Request for Proposal. See Note 22 No solicitation will be issued as a result of this synopsis. Interested sources must respond to this synopsis with a qualification package no later than 15 days from it?s publication date. This notice is for informational purposes for minority, women-owned, and disadvantaged business enterprises. The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU), has an assistance program available to minority, women-owned, and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. Th e maximum line of credit is $500,000.
