Description

CONTACT Kim Dahabsu, Electronics Engineer, (732)532-3168. This is a market survey to locate potential sources for the Full production phase of the CV-3338B/ASN-128D Signal Data Converter (SDC), NSN 5895-01-518-8783, Part Number P320A002-02, P/O the AN/ASN-128D Doppler/GPS Navigation Set (DGNS). The AN/ASN-128D DGNS consists of the SDC, the CP-1252D/ASN-128D Computer Display Unit (CDU), and the RT-1193()/ASN Receiver-Transmitter Antenna (RTA). The new designed SDC is embedded with a Selective Availabi lity Anti-Spoofing Module (SAASM) and IFR capability, and is compatible with the current CDU with upgraded software and with the RTA. The SDC will be integrated with up to 1268 DGNS systems currently in the Army fleet of Black Hawk and Chinook aircraft. U p to 500 additional SDCs may be procured for spares and for the Black Hawk production line. Presently the Army has an Engineering Development contract with BAE Systems, in Wayne, NJ, for the qualification of the SDC redesign. The Army is also in the proce ss of definitizing a letter contract with BAE Systems for a Low Rate Initial Production (LRIP) quantity of 70 SDCs which will be qualified through a First Article Test. The Government is not in possession of a complete technical data package for the AN/ASN -128D. Potential bidders must be able to demonstrate the capability to produce the new SDC, NSN 5895-01-518-8783. Selectee must be able to begin initial deliveries of the SDC in Oct, 2005. Selectee will be required to upgrade Depot level test equipment c urrently used at Tobyhanna Army Depot for system sustainment.
