Description
Project for “Room Rehab Lodging Buildings 1660 and 1661, Sheppard Air Force Base TX, will be issued in the near future. ATTENTION CONTRACTORS: THIS IS A BRAND NAME ACQUISITION, THEREFORE PLEASE DO NOT SUBMIT EQUAL OR SUBSTITUTE PROPOSALS FOR CONSIDERATION. Work will consist of furnishing all necessary plant; labor and materials to accomplish the following renovation work in Buildings 1660 and 1661: (1) Demolish existing wallpaper, vinyl covering, and rubber wall base cove in 156 rooms in Bldg 1660 and 144 rooms in Bldg 1661. (2) Furnish and install new BRAND NAME DUROPLEX, PERMATONE, OR TEC-COTE wall coating in 156 rooms in Bldg 1660 and 144 rooms in Bldg 1661. Successful contractor will install 1 color fissured textured acrylic wall coating and 2-color Tuscany on accent wall in all rooms per manufacturers recommendations. In multi-room suites there will be an accent wall in the living room behind the couch and behind each headboard. NOTE: Total square footage to be applied in base color is approximately 249,128 sq ft. Total accent wall coating to be applied is approximately 37,548 sq ft. (3) This project will be divided into 6 phases, with the contractor being given 52 rooms at a time to complete. Midway through first phase, the second block of rooms will be turned over for the contractor to begin phase two, then midway through phase 2, phase 1 will end and phase 3 will begin, etc. Each phase is one complete floor. Total performance period is 150 calendar days from issuance of the Notice to Proceed. (4) Work and materials shall comply with this Statement of Work and the editions in effect at the time of this solicitation for all applicable criteria, regulations, guidelines and codes, all of which are made a part thereof. (5) Contractor shall provide one point of contact for all phases of the work to be performed. Project will be completed in conjunction with whole room upgrade, therefore, this project affects follow-on contracts. (6) Contractor shall identify the specific type of material they propose to utilize for the project, i.e., Duroplex, Permatone, or Tec-Cote, with their proposal. a. If proposing Duroplex, submit the following documents: Triarch (Duroplex) Training Certificate; Applicator past performance submittal for each of prime applicators who will be applying the material. b. If proposing Permatone, submit the following documents: Permatone Training Certificates for each applicator; applicator past performance submittal for each of the prime applicators (journeymen) who will be applying the material. c. If porposing Tec-Cote, comply with manufacturer certification requirements and submit the following: Tec-Cote training certificates; and applicator past performance submittal for each of prime applicators (journeymen) who will be applying the material. All work shall be in accordance with the statement of work and drawings. Magnitude of construction project is between $250,000 and $500,000. Solicitation is being issued for FULL and OPEN competition. Applicable NAICS code for this project is 238320 with a size standard of $12 million dollars. Solicitation and any subsequent amendments will be posted through the electronic posting system (http://eps.gov/). Paper copies will not be provided. Contractors will be solely responsible for monitoring the Internet and obtaining the solicitation documents and any amendments. Interested offerors must ensure they are registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) in order to receive award of a contract.
