Description
SOURCES SOUGHT FOR SYSTEMS FURNITURE, PROTECTIVE COATINGS AND FLOORING SERVICES. The 50th Contracting Squadron, Schriever AFB, CO, is interested in gathering information on qualified firms to compete for a Furniture/Protective Coatings/Flooring contract, in an IDIQ contract type arrangement. The performance period is planned to be one base year, plus four twelve-month option years. The guaranteed minimum obligation amount of this requirement is planned to be set at $100K, and the maximum contract value over the life of the contract is estimated to be $3.75 million. The scope of the work contemplated is as follows: The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, transportation, tools, materials, supervision and freight necessary to: (1) provide office furniture to include design, procurement (including purchasing from UNICOR, GSA, and open market), storage, inventory, installation, repair, recondition, reconfigure, teardown, electric connection and disconnection, buyback or salvage excess reusable product; (2) provide floor coverings procurement, storage, removal and replacement, installation and repair services. Floor covering requirements include carpet, tile (ceramic, quarry, resilient, etc.), wood flooring, sheet goods (vinyl), and rubberized stair tread/nosing, cove base, etc.; (3) perform interior painting and protective coatings services. All services shall be performed in strict accordance with manufacturer?s specifications, common industry standards, and directions of the statement of work (SOW). Applicable NAICS code is 238390, with a small business size standard of 12 million dollars. Any interested firms must submit the following qualification elements: (1) Samples of past performance of the same or similar complex projects; (2) Number of manufacturer certified systems furniture installers, and with what furniture companies; (3) Any GSA contract or schedule holder information for any of the services; (4) Experience with purchasing direct through UNICOR, Federal Prison Industries, GSA, or through other existing federal contract sources; (5) An active office within a reasonable distance to provide the required human resources and equipment to manage the work; (6) Entire work crew must be able to pass a National Agency Check (NAC) in order to obtain restricted area clearance; (7) Small business status certification from the SBA. This information will be the basis for the government?s decision to establish the requirement under a small business set-aside or other socioeconomic program.
