- The 37th Contracting Squadron will be sponsoring an Industry Day on 30 November 2004, 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. (CST), at the Inter-American Air Forces Academy Auditorium, Bldg 7356 at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio TX. The purpose of this event is to provide all parties interested in providing armed security guard services with information regarding Air Force business strategy, the performance requirements, and acquisition business strategy. Additionally, industry day is an excellent forum for networking with other industry participants. The Government is soliciting information to determine the availability of contractors capable of providing trained and qualified on-duty armed security guard services necessary to support Installation Entry Control (IEC), Visitor Control Center (VCC), and Commercial Vehicle Inspection (CVI) in accordance with the attached draft Statement of Work (SOW). All questions and/or feedback regarding the draft Statement of Work should be e-mailed to george.brown2@lackland.af.mil with a courtesy copy to barbara.lee@lackland.af.mil. Contractor one-on-one sessions with the government contracting team will be conducted on 30 November 2004, 1:15 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. (CST) and 1 December 2004, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (CST); location will be announced during Industry Day. Based on the number of interested parties, the sessions may continue through 3 December 2004, 8:00 a.m to 4:30 p.m. Sessions will be scheduled in thirty (30) minute increments. If your company is interested in meeting with the government contracting team, please indicate your interest on the attached registration form. Your company will be notified at a later date of the scheduled appointment time. If teaming arrangements have already been established, we encourage all prime/subcontractor/partners to schedule a joint meeting. If your company is interested in attending this event, please complete the attached registration form and submit via e-mail to george.brown2@lackland.af.mil not later than 22 Nov 04, 3:00 p.m. (CST). Pre-registration is required to obtain entrance to Lackland AFB. Entrance includes verification of a valid drivers license, current vehicle registration/vehicle inspection, proof of insurance, and agreement to consent to search. Please allow a sufficient amount of time for base entry. Please limit the number of members attending to no more than three (3) per company.
