Description

This synopsis is for the Network-Centric Curriculum/Content Development and Advanced Distributed Learning Support acquisition for the Air Force Institute of Advanced Distributed Learning (AFIADL), Maxwell AFB, Gunter Annex, Alabama. AFIADL has a requirement for a contractor to support multiple projects through the design or redesign, test, and in some cases, maintain network-centric (Internet) instruction for the following purposes: EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMING: utilizing the full capability of knowledge/learning management systems and instructional strategies to provide robust educational opportunities; TECHNICAL PROGRAMMING: create robust training modules that enhance procedural knowledge, task mastery, and analytical troubleshooting skills; PERFORMANCE SUPPORT: analyze requirements and provide on-the-job learning opportunities that are accessible at the moment they are needed; PAPER TO WEB COURSE CONVERSIONS: convert paper-based correspondence courses to engaging, interactive, on-line or blended learning formats; CLASSROOM CONVERSIONS: convert classroom instruction to engaging and efficient learning via alternate formats or blended approaches while ensuring equivalent or better student outcomes; KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT: develop and implement taxonomies utilizing sound and innovative semantic processes; and/or TECHNOLOGY INSERTIONS: create engaging electronic learning modules that can be inserted into existing curriculum. This acquisition will be solicited as a Request for Proposal (RFP) on or about 09 December 2004. This requirement will be advertised as a 100% small business set-aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 541511, Size Standard, $21,000,000. One firm-fixed labor hour Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract will be awarded, period of performance will be one (1) basic year and two (2) one-year options. Place of performance Maxwell AFB, Gunter Annex, Alabama. Contractors must be registered in Central Contractor Registration www.ccr.gov and Wide Area Work Flow https://wawf.eb.mil prior to award of this contract.
