- The Air Force plans to issue a contract to purchase the Air Force Small Shelter System Vestibule for airlock application from Alaska Industrial Resources. The Government intends to establish a non-competitive contract under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only One or a Limited Number of Responsible Sources. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-25. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this procurement is 314912 and the business size is 500 employees. Alaska Industrial Resources is the only source that manufactures this item and has access to all proprietary technical and engineering data and drawings for these items. The Government intends to solicit only Alaska Industrial Resources. This contract will be awarded by 311 HSW/YASK, Brooks City-Base, TX 78235. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. Interested sources that possess the capabilities of obtaining the required technical and engineering data from Alaska Industrial Resources, and possess the capabilities to manufacture this item can submit information regarding their capabilities for market research. This information must be received within fourteen days from the date this notice is published. The Government does NOT intend to pay for information solicited.
