Description

This is an unrestricted procurement. The work consists of furnishing all plant, labor, materials and equipment and constructing the Upper Yazoo Projects, Item 6A, Channel Improvement, located in Leflore and Tallahatchie Counties, Mississippi. Principal features of work include mobilization and demobilization, clearing for channel excavation, channel excavation, dispos al areas, disposal of excavated materials, clearing and grubbing, corrugated metal pipes, stone ditch outlet protection, erosion control, bank stabilization work, providing as-built drawings, using the Government-furnished software (RMS) for electronic exc hange of information and management of the contract (See Section 01312 QUALITY CONTROL SYSTEM), storm water pollution prevention and environmental protection. The estimated value of the proposed work is between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00. Plans and specifications will be available on the Vicksburg Consolidated Contracting Office (VCCO) Web Page at http://www.mvk.usace.army.mil/contract/. Compact discs and hardcopies will not be available. Bidders should check the VCCO Web Page often for new solicita tions and/or changes (AMENDMENTS) to existing ones. Issue date on or about 14 Dec 2004. Bid opening date on or about 01 Feb 2005, 1400 Hours.
