- The Regional Contracting Department, Fleet and Industrial Supply Center (FISC), Pearl Harbor, Hawaii intends on negotiating a sole source training contract with Pacific Detroit Diesel-Allison Company for the acquisition of the following noted line item. Please annotate Solicitation No. N00604-05-T-0088. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for the acquisition of commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this announcement. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; PROPOSALS ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION will not be issued. This procurement is set-aside on an unrestricted basis. The NAICS code and the small business size standard for this procurement is 611513 and $6.0 mil respectively. The FSC Code is U099. Award will be conducted under the provisions of FAR Part 12 ? Commercial Item and FAR 13.5 ? Simplified Acquisition Procedures. All prospective! quoters are responsible for monitoring this site for the release of amendments (if any) or other information pertaining to this solicitation. All responsible sources may submit a quotation in response to this synopsis, which shall be considered. This synopsis/solicitation is being issued as a Request For Quotations (RFQ), for a Firm Fixed Price type contract incorporating provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisitions Circular 2001-25 and DFARS Change Notice 20041110. The Regional Contracting Department, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii intends to award a single, firm fixed price contract for: ITEM 0001: TRAINING FOR THIRTEEN (13) PERSONNEL FROM CODE 730 CRANE MAINTENANCE HEAVY MOBILE EQUIPMENT DIVISION TO OCCUR FOR EIGHT (8) MECHANICAL APPRENTICES FOR A TOTAL OF TWELVE (12) TRAINING DAYS; AND FIVE (5) ELECTRICAL APPRENTICES FOR A TOTAL OF SEVEN (7) TRAINING DAYS. TRAINING TO BE CONDUCTED BY AN AUTHORIZED TRAINING REPRESENTATIVE FOR DETROIT DIESEL-ALLISON. TRAINING TO BE HELD AT THE PACIFIC DETROIT DIESEL-ALLISON BRANCH IN HONOLULU, HAWAII FROM FEBRUARY 3, 2005 TO FEBRUARY 18, 2005 (TOTAL OF 12 TRAINING DAYS). TRAINING MATERIALS FOR EACH STUDENT SHALL BE PROVIDED BY THE CONTRACTOR. QTY: 1 GP TRAINING FOR THE EIGHT (8) MECHANICAL APPRENTICES WILL BE ALL INCLUSIVE FOR (SERIES 60 ENGINE OVERHAUL AND 92/60 SERIES PM/TUNE UP) AND DDEC (DDEC, DDDL AND BASIC ELECTRICITY). TRAINING FOR THE FIVE (5) ELECTRICAL APPRENTICES WILL BE FOR SERIES 92/60 SERIES PM (PM/TUNE UP) AND DDEC (DDEC, DDDL, AND THE BASIC ELECTRICITY SEGMENTS (7 DAYS) OF THE TRAINING COURSE). DESCRIPTION OF THE COURSE OUTLINE IS AS FOLLOWS: BASIC ELECTRICITY (1 DAY) SERIES 60 ENGINE OVERHAUL (5 DAY CLASS) DETROIT DIESEL ELECTRONIC CONTROLS (DDEC) (3 DAY CLASS) DETROIT DIESEL DIAGNOSTIC LINK (DDDL) (1 DAY) FOUR CYCLE/TWO CYCLE PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE (PM) AND TUNE UP CLASS (2 DAY CLASS) Quotes shall be FOB Destination, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii 96860.
